A Letter to my Daughters

My two sweet daughters
My two sweet daughters

Dear Sweet daughter,

If I could show you  just how much I love you, such numbers and measurements would not exist. I love you beyond the moon, beyond the solar system and beyond infinity. That is the best representation that I can come with to explain how much I love you. Your smile, and laughter bring more joy to my heart, than I ever thought possible. One day you will be a young woman, reading this letter I have written for you while you were still very young.  My advice for you in life is this, Be honest, even when it is painful. Always know that you are beautiful, because you are. Never once doubt that. But just like knowing that you are beautiful, please also know that more importantly you are intelligent. Make good choices in life, the ones that are right for you. You can do and be anything that you set your mind to.
Always know that even when we don’t agree on everything, and I have yet to know any mothers and daughters who do. Please know that I will always be your biggest fan. I will support you through and through. Choose to be true to yourself and be you, and not what people want you to be. The world is full of people trying to change or shape you. You are spectacular the way you are!
Find a husband that is like your father. Because he is one great Dad! He will love you till the end of time.  There isn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for you, and if you find a husband like that who can truly appreciate you for how wonderful you are, then that is all that I can ask of for you.
It’s okay to say NO! especially in your teenage years. Saying No doesn’t make you weak, it  actually makes you stronger.  Also know that it is okay to say yes  too. Say yes to the right man, the right future and the right path. That is all I want for you.
You and I may have our disagreements over the years. You will be right on some, and I will be right on others. Quite honestly it doesn’t matter who is right. What matters is that you know that No matter what, I will never stop loving you! No matter the choices you make, or things that undoubtedly as a teenager I know you will say. I will never stop caring for and loving you! You are the very most special daughter that any mom has ever been given, and I look forward to seeing the young woman who you will become. Just promise me that you will always be true to being you!
With every ounce of love in my heart,
                                                                                               Mom

I am a wife of ten years, mom of three, Nurse and student! My household is quite chaotic and busy. With a six year old going on sixteen. we shall call her "Sassy", a four year old, who is stubborn as a mule, she shall be called " mini me", and a one year old, we will call "Buddy". Our girls do Ballet, and our son, well he is all boy! Very curious and always getting in to something. When we found out we were having a boy i laughed and said " god must have known we needed a little less diva in our life," Ha, little boys are quite the handful! I love my kids with all of my heart, and i love my job too! As a nurse leader i get to see many sides to healthcare and help encourage and guide new nurses. I love taking care of patients and being able to have grown up talk and then come home to my babies. The house is usually chaotic with lots of tantrums, and messes, but i wouldn't change it for a bit. On the rare occasion that i am able to have some spare time to myself, i like to read, bake and decorate cakes, and take pictures of my kiddos. Time to myself is rare so i decided to start this blog to have a creative outlet and connect with other working moms, who might be going through the same situations as myself. I hope you enjoy my thoughts and stories as a mom, student, wife and Nurse! These stories will range from Diapers and tutus to meetings and boardrooms! and everything that falls in between. Enjoy and thanks for visiting my site.
