My little girl did what!

Photo credited to Teacups and Tiaras society

Ribbons and bows, Dolls and dresses, tea parties and recitals. These are the things I thought of when I was told I would be having girls. Sugar and Spice and everything nice, isn’t that what the books say? Well imagine my surprise when my three-year old mini me dropped her pants one day shaking her bare  Hiney in the air , dancing like she just didn’t care and began  singing  “look at my booty butt, look at my booty butt!” After I finished laughing hysterically hiding my smile, I thought to myself… I expected this with a boy and was in no way prepared to react at a girl doing this! So today when I had yet another I can’t believe my little girl just said this, I decided that  I need to write this down so that I can blackmail them one day,   In order to have lovingly wonderful memories of  my daughters behaviors. So here it is! My list  of  I can’t believe that I have had to say this  to my little girls….

  1. Mini me, stop picking your nose , yeah apparently all kids do that

  2. Sassy stop calling him Mr. Farts

  3. You can’t wrestle your sister

  4. Get your hands out of your pants

  5. You may not talk with your butt!

  6. No, Thank you, I do not need you to teach me how to do a pretend fart with your arm, What are they teaching you at school

  7. I wouldn’t eat that if I were you

  8. Stop throwing that ball in the house

  9. Don’t touch that snake!

  10. Sassy, What are you drawing…. no ma’am! you are not to draw pictures of boobies and Butt Cracks! Where did you learn that from anyway…

So today as my daughter proceeded to show me what breasts boobies are,  I just shook my head and said no matter the gender, kids will be kids!

I am a wife of ten years, mom of three, Nurse and student! My household is quite chaotic and busy. With a six year old going on sixteen. we shall call her "Sassy", a four year old, who is stubborn as a mule, she shall be called " mini me", and a one year old, we will call "Buddy". Our girls do Ballet, and our son, well he is all boy! Very curious and always getting in to something. When we found out we were having a boy i laughed and said " god must have known we needed a little less diva in our life," Ha, little boys are quite the handful! I love my kids with all of my heart, and i love my job too! As a nurse leader i get to see many sides to healthcare and help encourage and guide new nurses. I love taking care of patients and being able to have grown up talk and then come home to my babies. The house is usually chaotic with lots of tantrums, and messes, but i wouldn't change it for a bit. On the rare occasion that i am able to have some spare time to myself, i like to read, bake and decorate cakes, and take pictures of my kiddos. Time to myself is rare so i decided to start this blog to have a creative outlet and connect with other working moms, who might be going through the same situations as myself. I hope you enjoy my thoughts and stories as a mom, student, wife and Nurse! These stories will range from Diapers and tutus to meetings and boardrooms! and everything that falls in between. Enjoy and thanks for visiting my site.

  1. Raising kids: it just keeps getting funnier – and more surprising – doesn’t it. Don’t worry, all my girls did the bare booty dance (with song). Thanks for sharing a laugh!
