My Sparkly Thief.. Part 1

I’m signed up for Blogging U and haven’t posted anything from one of the challenges yet. Since I feel the need to write something I will give it my best shot! Today’s challenge is to write about something you have lost and make it as part of a three-part series. We will see if I am able to do that, so without further ado, Let’s get to it!

It was this past christmas and the house had the flu! Since my poor little patients were finally feeling well I thought that we would try making salt clay ornaments! Something we haven’t tried. Also this is the second year in a row that this household had the flu at christmas time. we are cursed enough said.I placed my wedding rings on the counter as to not get them messy from mixing the dough!  So as I was mixing the dough the doorbell rang! Thinking it was my Lazy husband at the door husband who sometimes rings the doorbell, I answered the door while mixing dough by hand! Once I opened the door I realized it was the UPS man, so I kindly put down the bowl and wiped off my hands. Once finished I returned to the duties at hand and placed the ornaments in the oven.

Imagine my surprise when My kleptomaniac daughter had taken the rings off the counter! Literally they were gone! I looked at miss kleptomania and asked her where we’re mommies rings! She looks at me with her very serious face and says but maybe santa can get you new rings for christmas! Attempting to hide my chuckle I explained  that some things cannot be replaced and asked heer again! ” Where the hell are mommy’s rings?” Where are my rings sweetie? She looks at me square in the eye and says ” i didn’t see them, I don’t know! great so now she is a Klepto and a Liar!

After searching the kitchen and looking under the stove and refrigerator I still cannot find those damn rings….. Where are they?ringsHave you ever Lost something very important to you? Share your story with me!

I am a wife of ten years, mom of three, Nurse and student! My household is quite chaotic and busy. With a six year old going on sixteen. we shall call her "Sassy", a four year old, who is stubborn as a mule, she shall be called " mini me", and a one year old, we will call "Buddy". Our girls do Ballet, and our son, well he is all boy! Very curious and always getting in to something. When we found out we were having a boy i laughed and said " god must have known we needed a little less diva in our life," Ha, little boys are quite the handful! I love my kids with all of my heart, and i love my job too! As a nurse leader i get to see many sides to healthcare and help encourage and guide new nurses. I love taking care of patients and being able to have grown up talk and then come home to my babies. The house is usually chaotic with lots of tantrums, and messes, but i wouldn't change it for a bit. On the rare occasion that i am able to have some spare time to myself, i like to read, bake and decorate cakes, and take pictures of my kiddos. Time to myself is rare so i decided to start this blog to have a creative outlet and connect with other working moms, who might be going through the same situations as myself. I hope you enjoy my thoughts and stories as a mom, student, wife and Nurse! These stories will range from Diapers and tutus to meetings and boardrooms! and everything that falls in between. Enjoy and thanks for visiting my site.

  1. Yes, actually it was a ring, my claddagh ring, I even wrote a post about it called painfull memories, and an update when I found it. But it was a huge thing to me, its to long a story to write about in comments but when I lost it I was devastated.
