Coffee Date…

If we were having coffee I would grab an iced hazelnut Latte as it is nearly 100 degrees outside today! Hazelnut taste good cold right? I would grab us a seat and say lets stay awhile.

I would begin by telling you that I am relieved to only have my last ten classes of nursing school to go! It has been a long two years of taking pre req courses and I am ready to be done! Ten sounds like a lot but it means I should have just a little over a year left and at this point that feels like nothing!

I would then turn around and tell you that as excited as I am to complete my BSN I have decided to get my Masters in Healthcare administration which means I still have a long ways of school to go! Just call me a life long learner!

Next I would move on to the topic of girls night! I was able to meet some friends last night at a Mexican restaurant, drink a margarita and have adult conversation! The food was awesome too! I came home to a quiet house that was already asleep. We mom’s need that sometimes you know?

The Hubby is always great about me going to dinner with friends and Iย usually get to do that once a month, so I felt the need to make his Father’s Day special and ordered him a brand new grill. This gift is also partly selfish as his old grill stopped working and I like him to grill every now and then, so there you have it!

The kiddos and I will be going to see Inside Out tonight, and they are really excited! The last movie we seen in theatre was Home, and I wasn’t overly impressed with that movie so hopefully this one will be better.

I would then go on to tell you that I am glad I started the Link up again on my blog! I have missed the interaction it gives me with others and it looks like doing the link up on Saturday’s is going to work really well! There are some great bloggers out there and I love reading their stories!

Now I am going to ask how are you? Tell me your story and let’s chat before I have to return to the land of mommyhood! Happy Coffee Share!!!

I am a wife of ten years, mom of three, Nurse and student! My household is quite chaotic and busy. With a six year old going on sixteen. we shall call her "Sassy", a four year old, who is stubborn as a mule, she shall be called " mini me", and a one year old, we will call "Buddy". Our girls do Ballet, and our son, well he is all boy! Very curious and always getting in to something. When we found out we were having a boy i laughed and said " god must have known we needed a little less diva in our life," Ha, little boys are quite the handful! I love my kids with all of my heart, and i love my job too! As a nurse leader i get to see many sides to healthcare and help encourage and guide new nurses. I love taking care of patients and being able to have grown up talk and then come home to my babies. The house is usually chaotic with lots of tantrums, and messes, but i wouldn't change it for a bit. On the rare occasion that i am able to have some spare time to myself, i like to read, bake and decorate cakes, and take pictures of my kiddos. Time to myself is rare so i decided to start this blog to have a creative outlet and connect with other working moms, who might be going through the same situations as myself. I hope you enjoy my thoughts and stories as a mom, student, wife and Nurse! These stories will range from Diapers and tutus to meetings and boardrooms! and everything that falls in between. Enjoy and thanks for visiting my site.

  1. Hey! I did Mexican Food last night with the gals from work and with a Bride to be we did a panty party. It was a hoot! As she opened each package she had to guess who gave it to her. Lots of Sangria but I was driving.

    1. I love Mexican food… I was drinking a Margarita mixed with Sangria.. they called it a twisted margarita and it was Awesome! Good for you for driving and keeping everyone safe ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Congratulations on getting this far in your degree, I’m a firm believer that all milestones should be celebrated. I’d love to go back to university but the bank account says no. I satisfy myself by researching things I need for books in the local library instead. Have a great week ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I think it’s about time for a girls’ night around here, too. Glad you had a good one and that husband is having a good Father’s Day. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you enjoy Inside Out—I’ve heard great things about it.

  4. I like the ups and downs in this…I am almost done with school, but I signed up for a masters program. It’s like a roller coaster in here! Haha..anyway, sounds like you had a great week! ๐Ÿ™‚
