Every Day mom- tryng to stay positive edition

Evry day mom badge

First of all I want to say thank you to everyone who sent words of encouragement for my mom. She is home and doing great! she is already able to lift her arm and expected to make a full recovery. Now if they could just find a way to fix her stubbornness. She will not go to physical therapy but is doing the exercises the physical therapist taught her. She had some great physical therapist who really took the time to show her and my dad how to exercise her arm.

It really has been a rough month for us and all I can say is that I have been in the most negative mood. From both cars needing a set of tires, to getting a ticket for expired tags, and most recently getting the water shut off because I forgot to pay the bill. To make matters worse it was 20 dollars and only a few days late! The water people don’t play.. good to know! The reconnect fee cost more than my entire water bill. It’s just insane to me. Imagine me using jugs of water to shower in the morning. Let’s just say I was not a happy camper! Uggh. Oh well, we got it back the next day and all is well.

The problem is, I have been an emotional rollercoaster. With the kids determined to cause me a stint in the loony bin, and 7yo’s depression symptoms, I a loosing it! I am talking going bat shit crazy, losing it! All the coffee in the world cannot cure these pessimistic emotions. That’s when I decided to take a note from Glynis! She has been posting doing 100 days of authenticity. Each day she posts a picture or blurb from her day in which she reveals an authentic part of her day. That’s what I call keeping it real. So why can’t I have a positive post each day? I can and I shall! I will post something positive each day. I mean, let’s face it, I need an attitude adjustment.

I don’t know if this challenge will change my outlook, but I at least have to try. Life is too short to be wasting it on the negative so we will see.Ā  So for today, I will share this link up as one of my positives for the day! I love this link up and the small group of friends who chooses to connect each week! You guys have become my blog family even when I am inconsistent. Thanks for always being there and having my back! Now that I have shared my Every Day mom moments, it’s time to share yours. Please distract me from my negative energy lol.

I am a wife of ten years, mom of three, Nurse and student! My household is quite chaotic and busy. With a six year old going on sixteen. we shall call her "Sassy", a four year old, who is stubborn as a mule, she shall be called " mini me", and a one year old, we will call "Buddy". Our girls do Ballet, and our son, well he is all boy! Very curious and always getting in to something. When we found out we were having a boy i laughed and said " god must have known we needed a little less diva in our life," Ha, little boys are quite the handful! I love my kids with all of my heart, and i love my job too! As a nurse leader i get to see many sides to healthcare and help encourage and guide new nurses. I love taking care of patients and being able to have grown up talk and then come home to my babies. The house is usually chaotic with lots of tantrums, and messes, but i wouldn't change it for a bit. On the rare occasion that i am able to have some spare time to myself, i like to read, bake and decorate cakes, and take pictures of my kiddos. Time to myself is rare so i decided to start this blog to have a creative outlet and connect with other working moms, who might be going through the same situations as myself. I hope you enjoy my thoughts and stories as a mom, student, wife and Nurse! These stories will range from Diapers and tutus to meetings and boardrooms! and everything that falls in between. Enjoy and thanks for visiting my site.
